All events & activities will take place around the Region of Waterloo, Guelph, & Halton area. Discovering the beautiful scenery of the trails around us! Trail Run Beginner Friendly

Location: Starkey Hill

Details:

For the casual runner looking to expand their horizons on new terrain in the winter season. This event will be an opportunity to learn how to run safely with snow and ice, as well as how to tackle uphills, downhills and technical trails. Starkey HIll is a 3.5km loop trail. Trail Shoes and / or Yaktrak recommend based on conditions.We will complete one loop, option to do more if there is interest!

Details: 5- 6km on flat terrain (no hills). Not generally stroller friendly as trail can get quite muddy in the spring. Hike will leave at 11:10am to give a few extra minutes for Caregivers/Moms time to get babies ready. If it is your first time hiking with a carrier we can help get Moms ready. Meet at trail head located in the parking lot there is a small area with picnic tables.

Grand River Trail Hike - Out and Back

Meeting Point (important change): Road down to the parking is closed you can park in the subdivision and group will walk down to the trail together. Group will meet at the Otterbein & Misty street intersection you will see a road closure sign and gravel road which leads to parking lot. Park anywhere along Misty street or Brandy Cres. For Driving directions you can put in the meet point of 500 Otterbein road.
